From September 25th to 27th, Guizhou University (GZU) engaged in academic exchanges with Southwest University, Chongqing University, and Sun Yat-sen University. The delegation was led by GZU Vice President Zhang Dalin, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC GZU Committee. The team comprised key personnel from relevant departments, including the CPC Committee's organization, human resources, finance, asset management, infrastructure management, and logistics management.
During the field visits, the delegation toured various facilities such as history museums, campuses, and buildings of modern or contemporary styles. In addition to campus tours, they exchanged ideas on talent recruitment, tender procurement, project construction, and logistics management. They also gained insights into how each university has handled administrative matters such as informatization for tender management, hotel operation management, canteen or catering services, and cultural relic building maintenance.
During the exchange meetings with these universities, Zhang Dalin highlighted GZU's history and its efforts in promoting the "Double First-Class" initiative. He introduced the university's policies and recognized the impact brought by the talent development programs. Additionally, he acknowledged that GZU should learn from these universities' experiences to enhance its management level and upgrade its administrative capability. Furthermore, he applauded the recent national guideline prioritizing the development of western regions and the blueprint for "strengthening Guizhou University." Thanks to these favorable merits, GZU expects to recruit talented individuals from various universities for further collaboration in the long run.
