Campus Safety Prioritized: GZU Convenes Meeting to Enhance Security Measures

A meeting focused on campus safety was held at Guizhou University on September 20th. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Zhang Dalin. Vice Presidents Chen Xiangsheng and Wu Pan were also in attendance.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and understand the campus safety guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, and the Provincial Department of Education. The agenda included planning and initiating efforts to identify and fix safety issues on campus.

The meeting highlighted the importance of thoroughly learning and applying the principles outlined in the safety-related documents. It emphasized that all departments should make joint effort to manage campus safety, and strictly adhere to the higher authorities' guidelines. There was a call for thorough checks and improvements in various areas, such as food safety, building safety, project safety, laboratory safety, traffic safety, fire safety, drowning prevention, infectious disease prevention, and disaster prevention. The goal is to minimize safety risks and ensure a stable and safe environment on campus.

During the meeting, the Infrastructure Department and Asset Management Department presented detailed reports on dormitory safety inspections. Specific plans were laid out for each safety improvement task. The meeting underscored the need to carefully assess potential building safety risks, create detailed rectification plans, and ensure that all safety measures are effectively implemented to protect the lives and property of teachers and students.

Leaders and representatives from various departments, including the Party Committee Office, President Office, Student Affairs Office, Finance Department, Asset Management Department, Equipment Management Department and Infrastructure Department were present at the meeting.
