On August 29th, GZU organized the Annual Meeting of China Campus Network (CCN), a program of the 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW), at its East Campus. CCN members discussed the possibilities and prospects of studying in China in the new era. The meeting was attended by over 100 participants, including representatives from Tianjin University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Northwestern Polytechnical University, as well as Chief Executive Officers from various countries such as Russia, Thailand, and Indonesia. CCN President Yu Shucheng and GZU Vice President Zhou Shaoqi delivered speeches, and the meeting was chaired by Gu Jianzheng, Secretary-General and Director of CCN Academic Committee.

During Yu Shucheng's speech, he shared that the China Campus Network (CCN) was established in 2016 as a collaboration among 28 renowned Chinese universities. It has now grown to include 37 member universities, making it one of the largest unofficial self-funded foundation programs. The network has prioritized scale, quality, and progress in its development, achieving significant accomplishments in these areas. In light of the complex and dynamic global landscape, CCN members should closely align with the macro-strategic deployment of educational systems in China. This entails analyzing international education trends, fostering globalized practices, strengthening university exchanges and cooperation, and enhancing the efficiency and criteria of CCN. Yu expressed his optimism for CCN to seize opportunities, tackle challenges, and contribute to the broader vision of the future.

Zhou Shaoqi introduced GZU as one of the first certified institutions in Guizhou Province to enroll international students and a founding member of CCN. Over the years, GZU has remained engaged with international affairs, including exchanges and cooperation, and student affairs. Curriculum for international students has progressed from basic language courses to advanced courses and programs, covering a broader range of students pursuing various degrees, including undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. GZU has launched several "Belt and Road" talent development projects in partnership with enterprises and established the China-Guizhou ASEAN International Student Service Center, enrolling over 10,000 international students in the past decade. GZU looks forward to collaborating with CCN to further enhance its global influence in education and gain competitive strengths for future development.

During the meeting, several speakers shared their experiences and insights regarding enrolling international students to study in China. Li Qiang, Dean of the School of International Education at Tianjin University; Professor Ji Ting, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education at Xi'an Jiaotong University; and Professor Li Dongmei, Dean of the School of International Cultural Education at Guangxi Normal University, provided valuable perspectives. Yang Jingsi, Deputy Secretary-General of    CCN, presented a comprehensive summary report based on the network's work. Li Jing, Director of CCN at Tianjin University, and Xi Jingqian, key instructor from the School of International Education at Northwestern Polytechnical University, delivered speeches focusing on program management and curriculum design. Additionally, Mikhal Parshin, the Network's CEO for Russia; Dr. Chen Yulan, Director of the Indonesia Office; and Naren Thongkaow, CEO for Thailand, shared information on the global market situation.

During the CACEW, on August 28th, the CCN and the "Belt and Road" Talent Development School-Enterprise Alliance co-organized an international forum at the Huangguoshu Hall of the permanent site of CAECW. GZU hosted the forum with the theme "Global Youth Creates the Future, Digital Brand Knows No Boundaries: Jointly Promoting New International Talent Development Programs."
