On August 21st, a delegation from Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), visited Guizhou University (GZU) for an exchange and discussion. The delegation is led by Mr. Ao Pak Loi, University Council of MUST. Prior to the meeting, Li Jianjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guizhou University, met with the delegation. The meeting was attended by Wang Mao'ai, Executive Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Zhan Yong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education, Feng Xinbin, Director of the Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Luo Changjiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Guizhou University. The meeting was chaired by Chen Xiangsheng, Vice President of Guizhou University.
Luo Changjiang delivered a welcome speech and introduced the history of GZU and its disciplines, as well as the cooperation between GZU and MUST. He expressed the hope for co-establishing a planetary science program with MUST and the deepening of cooperation in the field of education between the two sides.
Ao Pak Loi expressed MUAT’s commitment to utilizing its research platform to help establish the planetary science program at Guizhou University, contributing to the development of both institutions.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in discussions and exchanges on topics such as discipline application, discipline construction, and personnel exchange.
