On July 28th in Beijing, the Chemical Industry Press marked its 70th anniversary. This celebration also aligned with the Author Conference, commemorating the 100th year of the "Journal of Chemical Industry and Engineering (China)". GZU President, Song Bao'an, attended this prestigious event and received recognition as one of the top 100 authors by the Chemical Industry Press. His work, "Comprehensive Research and Application of Chinese Pesticides," was spotlighted as one of the press's top 100 publications in honor of their milestone anniversary.
Speaking on behalf of the distinguished authors, Song Bao'an underscored the significance of writing and publishing as invaluable endeavors undertaken by scientists, educators, and professionals from various disciplines. He heralded it as a laudable mission to foster education and the spread of knowledge. Additionally, he voiced his aspirations for the Chemical Industry Press to partner with eminent experts in the future, ensuring the release of top-tier works, which would further bolster China's modernization and its high-quality development.
The Chemical Industry Press, established in 1953, has grown remarkably from a niche publisher to a major publishing institution with nearly 700 employees. It annually publishes over 10,000 varieties of books and publications and generates a sales revenue of more than 1.3 billion yuan. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Press's assets have soared by over 230%. Notably, it's the sole publisher in China to receive the "Advanced Publishing Unit" accolade from the Chinese government for five consecutive terms.
