On July 31st, the UFITS Summer School of Cosmology 2023 and the Young Scholars Academic Seminar of Cosmology commenced at Guizhou University. GZU Vice President Zhou Shaoqi attended the event and delivered an inspiring address.

This year, 123 talented students from the 985 and 211 universities, Chinese top-tier universities, will dive deep into the world of cosmology over the span of a week. Zhou Shaoqi, in his address, emphasized that the week, comprising four days of theoretical lessons, a day's excursion to the "Chinese Sky Eye" (FAST), and two days at the UFITS Young Scholars Forum of Cosmology, offers a prime opportunity for the students to collaborate, exchange insights, and broaden their knowledge in the realm of cosmology.

It is worth mentioning that the UFITS Summer School is a collaborative venture, hosted by the Astronomical Society of Anhui Province and jointly organized by University of Science and Technology of China, Fudan University, Institute of Theoretical Physics under Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, and Sun Yat-sen University. This year, Guizhou University and the GEC Advanced Studies Institute played roles as co-organizers.

The summer school's rich curriculum encompasses 11 cosmology subjects, including cosmological perturbation theory, gravitational lensing, and primordial black holes, among others.
