GZU Holds Work Coordination Meeting for 2023 CAECW

On the morning of July 21, the GZU work coordination meeting for the 2023 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week (CAEWC) was held in Room 202 of the Xianzheng Building at the West Campus. GZU President, Academician Song Bao’an, Vice President Zhou Shaoqi, and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhou Shaoqi.

The departments responsible for various projects and the preparatory work group respectively reported on the progress of their preparation efforts. They also identified the current shortcomings in their work and outlined their upcoming plans. They reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the successful and high-quality execution of their respective tasks for the 2023 CAECW by refining their preparations with a focus on high standards and meticulous attention to detail.

Song Bao’an set forth the work requirements for managing the series of events for the 2023 CAECW. He underscored the importance of thorough preparation, and stressed the importance of delegating tasks to responsible departments and individuals. He also highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to overcome challenges and ensure the smooth completion of all related tasks. He expressed his hope that GZU’s participation in the CAECW would help the university to advance its academic development, elevate its international education standards, expand its influence, and showcase the excellence of GZU’s faculty and students.

2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” initiative. The theme for this year’s CAECW is “New Vision for Education Cooperation, Common Prosperity for Belt and Road”. The opening period activities will be held from August 28 to September 2 at the permanent site of the CAECW in Guiyang. GZU will host or organize 9 projects during the opening period as well as 11 projects throughout the year.
