On July 9th, the GZU university=level final of the 9th China International College Students' "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at GZU's West Campus. Vice President Chen Xiangsheng, officials from GZU's Academic Affairs Office and Science and Technology Park, as well as experts from universities and business sectors attended the opening ceremony alongside participating teams.
During the meeting, Vice President Chen emphasized the significance of the competition which intends to inspire college students to be innovative and embrace entrepreneurship in China. He encouraged students to develop brilliant start-up projects that can be implemented and further expanded. He also urged GZU students to make milestone breakthroughs during the competition, showcasing the spirit of GZU, which is the willingness to take on challenges and be creative.
The competition included 1,137 projects in the preliminary and final stages, with 135 projects making it to the finals. The final competition involved events designed for the "Youth Red Dream Journey Project" and students from colleges and universities. The participating teams, divided into five groups, showcased and defended their proposed projects in various fields such as artificial intelligence, rural revitalization, mechanical manufacturing, agriculture industry, and cultural and creative products, with the outstanding projects selected to represent GZU in the province-wide competition.
