On May 19, a delegation led by President Lin Huixian from Fooyin University, Taiwan visited GZU. Wu Pan, Vice President of GZU, met with the delegation. The meeting was chaired by Hong Yun, Director of GZU’s Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and Office of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs.

Wu Pan warmly welcomed President Lin Huixian and the delegation and provided an overview of the disciplinary development at GZU’s Medical School, College of Computer Science and Technology, and College of Big Data and Information Engineering. He emphasized that GZU has consistently placed high importance on exchange and cooperation with universities in Taiwan, and he expected the two universities to continue deepening their cooperation, strengthening the exchange of distinctive disciplines, and contributing to advancing educational exchange and cooperation across the Taiwan Strait to new heights.

President Lin Huixian shared the developmental journey of Fooyin University and underscored the complementary strengths and extensive prospects for mutual learning and exchange between the two universities. She expressed her hope that this meeting would serve as a catalyst for both sides to enhance communication, strengthen friendship, deepen cooperation, and make collaborative efforts in advancing disciplinary development and talent cultivation.

During the meeting, the two universities signed a cooperative agreement. The participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as faculty and student exchange, joint educational programs, development of flagship disciplines, and internships and training.
