Delegation from University of Lincoln, UK Visits GZU

On the morning of April 17th, Peng Isitt, vice president and director of International Affairs at University of Lincoln, UK, led a delegation to visit Guizhou University and had a discussion and exchange with GZU leaders. Vice President Chen Xiangsheng of GZU attended the meeting, along with other office heads. Zhou Bin, vice director of the Office of International Relations, hosted the meeting.

Chen Xiangsheng warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced GZU about its disciplines, admission, masters' straight-through program, doctoral program, and teacher exchange, etc. He pointed out that GZU always upholds the goal of building a high-level university with "Chinese characteristics, world-class standards, and Guizhou's needs". He hoped that the two universities can strengthen cooperation and jointly create a model of “comprehensive, whole-process, and all-round” Sino-British cooperation, making new contributions to the "Double First-Class" development of GZU and the globalization strategy of University of Lincoln, UK.

Peng Isitt pointed out that project research and international admission are key strategic plans for University of Lincoln’s international cooperation. She hoped to take this opportunity to further broaden the scope of cooperation with GZU, particularly enhance cooperation in exchange of teachers and administrative personnels. She hoped this can help both parties reach new heights in international education.

During the meeting, souvenirs were exchanged. Li Jinhong, dean of College of Tourism and Cultural Industry College, introduced the student structure, study abroad situation, and admission situation of the previous projects between the two universities. Both parties also had discussions on international education, talent cultivation, and follow-up cooperation plans.
