On February 18th, forum for “Big Data Empowering Smart Health Care” of the 23rd China Annual Conference for International Education was held at Beijing International Convention Center. The forum was hosted by China Education Association for International Exchange and organized by Guizhou Education Association for International Exchange and State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data of Guizhou University which is jointly built by Guizhou Province and Ministry of Science and Technology. Those who attended the forum included Yu Yougen, deputy secretary general of China Education Association for International Exchange, Wang Hui, member of the Party Group of Guizhou Provincial Education Department, Zhou Shaoqi, vice president of Guizhou University, Zhou Aoying, vice president of Guizhou University, Hong Yun, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Li Shaobo, director of the State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data jointly built by the ministry and the province, as well as experts and scholars from Japan, Germany, Malaysia and other universities at home and abroad attended the forum.
At the opening ceremony, Zhou Shaoqi, Yu Yougen and Wang Hui delivered opening speeches.
Zhou Shaoqi hoped that through this forum, experience sharing and future prospects will be fully carried out in areas such as post epidemic health care models. A regular dialogue mechanism will be established, and practical and feasible cooperation plans will be proposed. Big data will be vigorously promoted to empower the development of health care, contributing wisdom to the common future of mankind, and to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Yu Yougen said that he looked forward to taking this forum as an opportunity to share advanced concepts and technologies about health care, andthus to promote international cooperation among “government, hospital, university, research and enterprise” and the construction of an open, cooperative and win-win smart health care industry.
Wang Hui said that this forum set up a high-level and diversified exchange and cooperation platform. She expected that the experts, scholars and entrepreneurs present to strengthen the cooperation among Industry-University-Research, to innovate a smart health care development model that combines big data, to promote the high-quality development of health care industry, and to offer suggestions for the cultivating of smart health care talents.
In their keynote speeches, six scholars and business representatives, including Zhou Aoying and Li Shaobo, shared the latest technological innovation trends and industrial development trends from different perspectives, providing many useful references for promoting the integration and innovation of big data and the health care industry.
During the school-enterprise negotiation, scholars and representatives of enterprises carried out discussions on key fields such as jointly building a scientific and technological guarantee system for smart health care, exploring new models for cultivating smart health care talents, and the role of physical therapy in international smart elderly care.
