GZU Leaders Visits Staff and Students Staying on Campus

On January 19th and 20th, 2023, GZU leaders Li Jianjun, Song Bao’an, Linghu Caitao, Zhou Shaoqi, Zhang Dalin, and Wu Pan led teams to visit and expressed new year greetings to representatives of cadres stationed in the villages, as well as medical staff, graduate students, international students, on-duty police officers, security personnel, property management personnel, and canteen staff staying on campus during the holiday period.

Li Jianjun, Linghu Caitao and Zhang Dalin visited the home of Luo Junsong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of College of Foreign Languages and a representative of village-stationed cadres. They inquired about his and his family’s work, study and life, showing care and concern for their well-being. They expressed their gratitude to the village-stationed cadres for their enthusiastic participation in rural revitalization and hoped that they could well manage the demands of village work, teaching and scientific research, and create new achievements in their work.

On the East Campus, Li Jianjun, Linghu Caitao, Zhang Dalin and Wu Pan visited the medical staff, police officers, and security and property management personnel. Li Jianjun expressed thanks to the medical staff of the university hospital for their selfless dedication in safeguarding the lives and health of all faculty and students over the past year. He also thanked the police officers of Songshan Police Station for their strong support during the epidemic prevention and control to protect the safety on the campus. Meanwhile, he thanked the security and property management staff for their hard work in maintaining the safety and environmental hygiene of the campus.

Song Bao’an, Linghu Caitao, Zhang Dalin and Wu Pan visited the staff of the logistics department and praised them for their dedication to catering the needs of faculty and students during the winter vacation. At the Insect Research Institute on the South Campus, Song Bao’an visited graduate students staying on campus and asked about their studies and daily life. He fully affirmed the students’ spirit of scientific dedication, and encouraged them to carry out solid research and achieve outstanding results to serve the country and society. President Song also advised the students to be cautious about their personal safety and stay in close touch with their families.

Zhou Shaoqi visited the international students remaining on campus, inquiring about their study and life and presenting new year gifts. He urged them to take good care of themselves, mind their health, and strive for excellent academic results.

Officials from the university’s offices, student affairs departments, logistics management department, security department and the campus hospital also joined the visits.
